Lamb’s Chapel

The Loucks’ in Romania III

Some quick thoughts:

1. Romania can be a very unattached society yet individually very kind.  It’s a weird dichotomy. Nora and I walked to Billa (a grocery store) yesterday.  It’s a short walk from my father-in-law’s house. On my walk I waved and said hello (in Romanian) to many people.  I got few responses.  I now understand the importance of acknowledgment.

2. I think I’m in love with the Alfa Romeo cars.  They’ve really stuck out to me.  Alfa Romeo is a division of Fiat. Since Fiat just merged with Chrysler, I’m hoping that they’ll have more control in the future of the Chrysler brand.  The Alfa Romeo MiTo is possibly the only compact car that I truly like and it’s going to be the first AR released in the States s00n. I’m looking forward to seeing them on the road.

3. I watched the entire Notre Dame game on my computer through Justin.tv. It was choppy and always cut out at the best parts, but it was still better than missing the entire game. We’ll be traveling during ND’s next game against Michigan so I won’t be as fortunate.  Go Irish!

4. Ema’s cousin, Octav Capota, is in a band called The Marker. The finished 2nd yesterday in a national music contest called the Golden Stag Festival. They’re doing pretty well for themselves and seem to be gaining a larger fan base all the time.  Check them out here.

5. I apologize for the shakiness of the videos.  I needed to bring a monopod but I didn’t.  My bad.
